Château de La Jarthe is een vroeg middeleeuws kasteel dat dateert uit de 12de eeuw en is gelegen in het hart van de Dordogne nabij Périgueux. Château de La Jarthe
This early medieval château from the 11th century, once a seat of the Knights of the Order of the Templar is situated on a hilltop and includes 120 hectares of beautiful land. Immediately next to the main building, the grounds on one side are made up of gently undulating lawns dotted with trees. On the other side, there is a large, sweeping tract of woodlands. The countryside here is still very pristine, and bursts with wildflowers in the spring and summer. Nestled around one side of the château is a small, moat-like lake.
