Château de Theobon
Château de Theobon has a particularly solid and stately character, built in a graceful U-shape around a generous courtyard. Dating back to the 15th century, the building was built on the remnants of a strategic Roman fort and is bursting with authentic architectural details. Although the château was partially destroyed during the French Revolution, it was carefully restored afterwards with unusually large windows for the period. These not only provide commanding views out over the grounds and the surrounding countryside, but also make Theobon uncommonly light and sunny for such an ancient château.
The château is picturesquely located on a gently-rising hilltop plateau, with numerous mature trees immediately surrounding it. The grounds belonging to the estate encompass approximately 30 hectares of rolling lawns and fields, over which there are magnificent panoramic views thanks to the château's hilltop position. There is a significant amount of diversity in the development potential of Château de Theobon.
